Cotswold Lavender

The English summer is known for its lavender fields. It is middle July and the fields should all be in flower–so we made our way to Cotswold Lavender. It is easy to find, near the Village of Snowshill.

The wonderful scent hits you as you get out of the car and all around driving up there, you see fields of Lavender. This is a photographer’s heaven!! You see different types of bees in all the rows and rows of different varieties of lavender. The wildflower meadows are a big surprise–they are beautiful, with butterflies all over.

We did not eat at the cafe, but the barn shop and tea room are very pretty and you can visit them without paying an entrance fee. The shop had an impressive display of items from skincare to shower products and lavender oils.

Our tip – check their website for dates and times before going, because you will want to see it when everything is in bloom.
